this really is a recap of my vacation. for the first week i was in arizona, the only thing i did was quilt and eat. (possibly there was a small amount of swinging and playing at the park. more on that later.).
here's the first quilt i finished while i was down there, for my niece clara. i'm already missing all that green grass.

i love you, clara jane. i hope you are enjoying your brand new baby sister.
I hope no one walks into my family room right now. I'd look awfully silly crying while looking at a picture of a quilt, but I can't help myself. I guess it's a combination of how beautiful the quilt is and knowing you love me and Clara that much. I don't think I've ever spent that much time making something for anyone. Unless of course you count being pregnant and spending nine months growing a baby. :)
That quilt is so cute! I love how you also have a modern flare to the things you make. But, I also love how they also seem old-fashioned. It's the best of both worlds!
Ok that is so awesome! Did you have a quilting arm to do that? I would LOVE to learn how to make things that great. Your talent always impresses me.
