I am in love with our pattypan squash. Planted from seeds this spring. And it never gets old seeing it in the garden. So cute.

What do you do with the pattypan squash? I've never eaten it, how does it taste and how do you prepare it?

Stuff like that makes me want to grow it just to look it at, forget consuming it.

variety (tawnya): i just use the pattypan like i would zuchini or yellow squash, or to replace some or all of the meat in a recipe. (like in fried rice or pizza) it tastes about the same as other summer squash. my favorite way to eat it is sauteed with olive oil and sea salt.
ReplyDeleteanna: no, that is totally characteristic of me. i let the kids help make those tags and never noticed it was upside down until i was editing the pics.
