Catch Up: Part Two; It's Great to Be Eight

What fun to look at all the pictures I took this day and remember how sweet Micah was. Such a tender and sensitive soul. I find myself uttering many prayers that he can survive me. Being his mother has given me an urgent feeling of the need to already be changed, not just work on becoming the person I want to be. It's terrifying sometimes.

Such a full day with so many memories. I'm not sure why I ended up with more pictures of food than people. Maybe I was really hungry. At any rate, Micah Ryan I love you and am honored to be your mother.

  1. Oh, how I crave those cookies right now.

The girls still talk about Micah being baptized. Thanks for being a good example Micah.

  2. I know that you are an amazing mother NOW. Micah is very blessed to have you. But I understand your fears, sometimes it's immobilizing. I have great faith in you!

We are coming up soon and I hope to make it to the next party! I've missed you and all of our crazy peeps. :)

  3. Congratulations to Micah (a few months later!)

It blows my mind that my oldest will be getting baptized next year! I understand how you feel about needing to be better... luckily, my kids don't know that there's better mothers out there, so they're content with me for now! :)

  4. I saw those pictures and almost cried b/c I thought we missed his baptism... and then I realized it was um, four months ago. :)

I've always told you this but maybe if it's written you won't forget: Micah has always made me want a little boy of my own because he's so sweet.

  5. How could you not have pictures of all that great food!!! But it was a really special day, with a special feeling when he was baptized. Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of it.
