a day in the life, in case you wanted to know, tuesday to be exact

4:45 wake up. take ibuprofen, switch load of laundry, head to gym.
5:15 run.
6:15 shower. housework.
7:00 wake up kids. scriptures. breakfast. make lunches. craziness.
8:45 take kids to school.
9:00 prepare tax returns. (and yes, the dishonesty of my fellowmen saddens me, still, every time.)
4:00 home. teach piano.
7:00 dinner.
7:15 more piano.
8:00 back to work. more tax returns. fun, fun for everyone.
10:00 home. scriptures. prayer. exhaustion-induced weeping ensues. or reading.
10:30 dream about the 1040.

4:45 the fun starts all over again.

and the insane thing is, i am enjoying work quite a bit. much more than last year. i am almost dreading all that free time coming up in a few more weeks.

no more good excuses for a messy house. and will mr. coleman stop doing the dishes for me at night?

  1. 4:45? wow. it amazes me that you still run. i have a hard enough time running at night, let alone before the crack of dawn.

  2. I must say, you are blogging much more this tax season than last. It does sound like you are not being over run but it this year. I'm glad to hear that. Keep it up.

  3. You know Rachel, you make it really hard for me to feel sorry for myself. I just set my alarm for 5:30 and thought maybe it might as well be the alarm for the end of the world. :)

  4. You're my hero! I have been so exhausted lately and I've not been doing very well with getting up on time. I look at your schedule and what you do and I realize I have it easy. I need to be more grateful for what I have. :)

  5. I hope he doesn't stop doing your dishes, goodness woman!
Is every day that busy? You're brave and dedicated to get up so early. I bet you look awesome though!

  6. 4:45 is when I used to wake up for seminary. I always called it the butt-crack of dawn. brutal.

I dream about work all the time too, although usually the real thing is funnier. Like the kid who answered the question "What word starts with the letter T?" by yelling out "Tusken Raiders!"
There's certainly never a dull moment.

  7. You need something to do from midnight to 2am

I know! If you lived here you could help me clean parking lots then.

    Sleep is overrated anyway.
