the second quilt i almost decided to just store in the closet, unfinished. i had run out of sewing enthusiasm, plus it's crooked, so i was embarrassed to gift it, but in the end, i sucked it up and sewed a binding on it. my kids were sad to give it away. they love that soft minky fabric on the back. i hope my sister-in-law loves it like they do.
Gorgeous as always.
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to learn how to quilt. Or maybe just curl up in the quilts you gave me to save time and money. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
Those quilts are gorgeous! I love the colors and the fabric you used. I understand about your feelings on not wanting to gift it because it's crooked. I feel the same way every time I give an amigurumi to someone. But, I try to remember that I'm the only one that notices that it's not perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteAlways amazed at your talents. Those quilts are fantastic and the fabrics are so fun. I must not know a whole lot about quilting because I didn't think your quilt looked crooked.
ReplyDeletei love the both, but especially the first one because it's MINE!
ReplyDeleteRachel, they are so awesome. I have to tell you where the biggest smile came from. Behind Charity, I can just see, is it you? stretching every muscle, becoming as tall & wide as possible to hold it... I want to see the person behind so bad!!! They are so beautiful. What a wonderful work of art and love.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to adopt you as a "sister" ... ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your quilts!
Rachel I love the brick pattern and the rick rack flags on clara's quilt is such cute idea. You are amazing!
ReplyDeleteRachel, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that first one with the triangles! Did you use a pattern or did you make it up? I really need to hire you to design something for me some day, because I love your simple, yet elegant sense of style.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! Just like Kayla, I love your elegant style. They are beautiful.
